PCI Checklist


1.  Be sure to visit the SaleSynergy website pages related to PCI Compliance- PCI Compliance, PCI FAQ, SAQ, and Breach Insurance.

2.  Go to the joint SaleSynergy/DDS web page and complete the Verify Info and appropriate SAQ for each Merchant ID (SAQ B(2) for dial-up merchants, SAQ C for IP terminals and POS interfaces).  Each Merchant ID has a separate log-in and the user name and password have previously been provided to you via letter or email.  If you do not have your user name or password please click here for assistance.

3.  Follow the instructions on the SaleSynergy/DDS web page.  You will be guided through the following steps:

     a) Terms and Conditions must be accepted.

     b) Watch the video regarding PCI Compliance.

     c) Fill out the Verify Info page which leads to the selection of the appropriate SAQ.  Please note: 

    • Question #5- This questions applies to third party businesses involved in your credit card processing only.  Sample answers include Southern DataComm (Elavon), Shift4, Merchant Link, Authorize.net, Verisign, and Yahoo Business.
    • Question #7- This question applies to terminals and Point of Sale devices.
    • Question #8- Terminal merchants with dial-up connections should select "not applicable" on the drop down list of vendors.  Point of Sale applications that are PCI Compliant should be found on the drop down list.

     d) Complete the SAQ for each Merchant ID.   Answers for each SAQ relate to that specific Merchant ID.  Please note that SAQ D is only for very large retailers that provide their own interfaces with credit card processors.  If you think that SAQ D applies to you, please contact SaleSynergy before proceeding.

     e) Review Attestation of Completion and provide digital signature.  Fill out name and title.  Print SAQ Questionnaire, Attestation, and Certificate of Validation.

     f) For SAQ C merchants only, complete vulnerability scanning (scanning required for IP terminals and POS interfaces).  You will be directed to the Comply Guard web page from the SAQ if scanning.  You will be asked to provide your IP address(es) and you will need to provide the time you would like for the scanning to take place.

4.  For SAQ C merchants only, if your payment application (Point of Sale or middleware) is not PCI Compliant, or you are unable to complete the questionnaire for any other reason, please contact SaleSynergy by clicking here.

5.  From our Breach Insurance web page, www.salesynergy.com/breach-insurance, read the policy and print out the Evidence of Insurance.
